How the Necrobinder plays

The basics
- The Necrobinder has 66 HP, the lowest of the five, 3 Energy and 99 Gold, and she fights beside a pet: Osty, a skeletal hand with his own HP.
His single power, Die For You, redirects every unblocked Attack aimed at you into him while he lives.
Her relic, Bound Phylactery, Summons 1 at the start of every turn, including the first, so he is always present at least as a 1-HP shield.
What Summon does
- Summon X summons or revives Osty with X Max HP if he is missing, or raises his Max HP by X and heals him that much if he is alive.

What to pick up
Early picks
- The Necrobinder starts with 66 HP and a deck that deals little damage, so early picks should hit several enemies or block cheaply.
Bone Shards has Osty deal 9 to ALL enemies and gives 9 Block for 1 Energy. Osty dies, and Bound Phylactery brings him back at 1 HP next turn.
Deathbringer puts 21 Doom and 1 Weak on every enemy.- Doom kills only at the end of the enemy turn, so they act once more, but the Weak blunts that turn.
Defy gives 6 Block and 1 Weak and is the best common. Enfeebling Touch takes 8 Strength from one enemy for a turn.
The Energy plan
- The Energy plan starts with Neurosurge, a 0-cost Power that gives 3 Energy and draws 2 cards, paid for with 3 Doom on herself at the start of every later turn.
- Take it on sight and end fights before that Doom reaches her HP.
- Spare Energy goes into Eradicate, 11 damage X times, which Retains until the big turn.
Borrowed Time gives 4 Energy, and its extra cost never raises an X-cost card.
The debuff plan
- The debuff plan needs Sleight of Flesh and debuff cards. It deals 9 damage each time she debuffs an enemy, and Doom counts.
- So Deathbringer triggers it twice on every enemy and Putrefy twice on one target.
End of Days adds 29 Doom to all and at once kills anything whose Doom covers its HP.

Upgrade order and skips
- Upgrade Borrowed Time first, 6 Energy upgraded, then Bone Shards, 12 damage and Block upgraded, and Demesne, which drops from 3 to 2 Energy.
Skip Sic 'Em: Osty hits for only 5, and its Summon needs more Osty hits that turn.
Soul Storm adds only 2 damage per Soul in the Exhaust Pile, so it needs many Souls to beat a plain attack.
Notes
The Necrobinder unlocks after a run as the Regent, won or not, and she in turn unlocks the Defect, the last character in the chain.
Osty is technically a monster on your side with no moves of his own.- Die For You only redirects Attack damage. HP loss from Poison or your own cards still hits you.
- When he dies he stays on the field until the phylactery revives him at your next turn start with 1 HP.
High Five cannot be played while he is missing, and Unleash does nothing but shake him if he is dead.
Forbidden Grimoire and Protector are her Ancient cards.
