Innate
Card property
Start each combat with this card in your Hand.
On the first turn of combat, every Innate card in your Draw Pile is moved to the top before you draw, so it is guaranteed in your opening Hand.
If you own more Innate cards than your draw size, the draw grows to match them, capped by the 10-card Hand limit.
Effects that shrink your first draw, such as Big Mushroom, cannot push an Innate card out.
Cards that an enchantment sends to the bottom of the pile are excluded.
Innate does nothing on later turns, does not stack, and does not make the card playable, which is why Writhe is a nuisance rather than a threat.

Notes
Innate is printed on cheap openers: Backstab, Assassinate, Dramatic Entrance, Boot Sequence, Mind Blast, Suppress. Upgrading many Powers adds it: Afterimage, Aggression, Infinite Blades, Machine Learning, Speedster, Tyranny, Trash to Treasure and Big Bang. Folly and Writhe are Innate curses. The Royally Approved enchantment gives Innate and Retain to any card, and Toasty Mittens skips Innate cards when it Exhausts the top of your Draw Pile.
