Relics offered

How the visit works

Where and when

Neow waits at the first node of Act 1, whether the run opens in Overgrowth or Underdocks.
Her epoch is granted the moment any run ends, or on your first look at the Timeline.
She has been exiled and speaks in fragments. Her one clear wish is that you kill the Architect.

The heal

Her heal is a resurrection: you drop to 0 HP, then she heals all of it back.
At Ascension 2 the heal is 80% of what is missing, which from 0 means every run starts at 80% of your Max HP.

The offer

The offer is always three relics: two from the beneficial pool and one from the cursed pool.
Fourteen beneficial relics form the base pool, and three coin flips add Lava Rock or Small Capsule, Nutritious Oyster or Stone Humidifier, and Neow's Talisman or Pomander.
The cursed relic is rolled first and removes its beneficial twin: Cursed Pearl drops Golden Pearl, Hefty Tablet drops Arcane Scroll, Leafy Poultice drops New Leaf, Precarious Shears drops Precise Scissors. Large Capsule skips the capsule flip.

Restrictions

Kaleidoscope needs every character's card pool unlocked.
Winged Boots and Silver Crucible are single-player only.
In a modified run, such as the Daily Climb, she offers no relics and walks you through each modifier's option instead.

Which relic to take from Neow

Beneficial picks

Among the beneficial relics, Phial Holster and Lost Coffer give the most for Act 1.
Precise Scissors and New Leaf shape a starter deck.
Kaleidoscope or Scroll Boxes add real cards before the first fight.
Neow's Torment adds Neow's Fury, a 1-cost attack that returns two discarded cards to hand.

The cursed side

The cursed side is often better.
Silver Crucible upgrades your first three card rewards for an empty first chest.
Large Capsule is two relics for one extra Strike and Defend.
Precarious Shears removes two cards for 16 HP you were just healed.
Cursed Pearl is 333 gold behind an unplayable curse.

Avoid or gamble

Avoid Leafy Poultice, which trades 12 Max HP for two transforms, and Silken Tress, which throws away your gold.
Neow's Bones rolls two random Neow relics plus a random curse.

Worth knowing

In co-op, Neow makes a separate offer to each player, with no vote. Each player's three relics are rolled on their own, and each player takes one for themselves. Massive Scroll is offered only when two or more players are in the run, so a solo climber never sees it. The Greed that Cursed Pearl adds is Eternal: no removal or transform can take it out of your deck.
