Upon pickup, obtain 2 card rewards from other characters.
On pickup you get two separate card rewards. For each one the game shuffles the other characters' unlocked card pools, takes three of them and generates one card from each at normal encounter odds, so every reward shows three cards from three different classes. You pick one per reward or skip. Neow only offers it once every character's card pool is unlocked, and it cannot be traded.

When to take Kaleidoscope
Best taken early, when a strong off-class card can define the run. Check what your class lacks, like draw for Ironclad or big hits for Silent, and skip resources you do not have.
