Playing it drops your Strength by 2 at once, which can go negative, and adds a Friendship stack that raises your maximum Energy by 1, so every turn starts with an extra point. Both last the whole combat. The Strength loss applies to your own Attacks, but Osty's attacks are dealt by Osty, so cards like Poke and Unleash lose nothing. Upgrading shrinks the penalty to 1 Strength.

When to take Friendship

Good in Act 1 if you plan to win through Doom, Osty or Souls rather than your own damage, for the pool's best Energy rate. Skip it in a multi hit Attack deck.
