Focus
Each stack of Focus adds 1 to the value of every Orb you own, passive and Evoke alike. A Frost orb normally blocks for 2 each turn and 5 on Evoke; with 2 Focus that is 4 and 7. Lightning starts from 3 and 8, Dark from 6 per turn. Plasma never consults Focus. It lasts the whole combat and stacks without limit.

Notes
Focus can go negative: Hyperbeam removes 3 and Biased Cognition drains 1 a turn, and an orb's value stops at 0 rather than going below. The icon vanishes the moment the total is exactly 0. Data Disk gives 1 at the start of each combat, Focus Potion gives 2, and Hotfix adds a temporary amount that is taken back at the end of the turn.
Rules and timing
It can go below zero, and it is removed only when it reaches exactly 0.
