Stars
Game term
Your current Star () count. The Regent's cards may require to play.
Stars are a combat resource that sits beside Energy, starting at 0 each fight.
Carries over: the count is wiped when the fight ends or you die, but within a fight Stars carry over turn to turn.
Cost: paid on top of the Energy cost when the card is played; if either is short the card is unplayable. Stardust costs X Stars, meaning all of them.
Display: the counter always shows for the Regent, turns red at 0, and appears for anyone else once they hold a Star.
Triggers: gaining Stars sets off Black Hole; spending them sets off Galactic Dust (10 Block per 10 spent), Mini Regent and Child of the Stars.
