Dense Vegetation

Having taken the wrong path for a good while, you find yourself in a thick jungle of ferns, shrubs, and vines. Especially vines. Exhaustion sets in, and a dark thought comes to mind:

“You are lost, unprepared, and the inevitability of death is approaching.”

What do you do?
You hack and slash your way through the jungle but it goes on and on...

You sustain yourself on strange fruits, crunchy bugs, and drink the nectar of glowing plants but you start feeling paranoid...

But then you find a clearing, a trail, and some Gold coins scattered on the ground. Amongst the coins are some crudely-drawn maps!
Problem solved.
You're dead tired and take a nap...

...only to be awoken by something wriggling around on top of you!

Which option to take

Trudge On

Our pick
HP−8Gold+61 to 99
  • Trudge On when healthy: 8 HP for roughly 80 Gold is a good Act 1 rate.

Rest

Heal30% of your Max HP
  • Rest when you are below half and your deck kills small groups fast; the heal is worth a rest site, the Wrigglers are fragile, and you still collect the fight's gold and card.
  • Avoid Rest with a slow single-target deck, since Strength stacks on four attackers.

How it plays

Trudge On

  • Deals 8 unblockable damage that no power reduces and pays 61 to 99 Gold, rolled on arrival and shown exactly.

Rest option

  • Heals you like a rest site, 30% of Max HP adjusted by rest relics.
  • Then forces a fight against four Wrigglers (17 to 21 HP each, 18 to 22 on Ascension 8+).

The Wriggler fight

  • Each alternates Nasty Bite for 6 (7 on Ascension 9+) with Wriggle, which gives it 2 Strength and gives you an Infection status (Unplayable, 3 damage at end of turn if in hand).
  • Two open with a bite, two with a wriggle, none start stunned.
  • The fight pays normal combat rewards and ends the event.
