How to beat Wriggler

  • Scaling swarm: HP 17 to 21 apiece. Multi-target damage kills two or three at once, and every Wriggle you prevent is 2 damage less on every later bite.
  • Stunned turn: free in the Phrog fight, so spend it on the two that will Wriggle first, since they are the ones that grow.
  • Infection: unplayable, deals 3 damage at the end of any turn it is still in hand, so cards that discard or exhaust from hand pull double duty.

Notes

  • 17 to 21 HP (18 to 22 at Ascension 8+).
  • The code flags it as an elite, and it appears only in two places in Overgrowth: four are spawned into the wriggler slots when the Phrog Parasite dies with its Infested power, and four wait behind the Rest option of Dense Vegetation.
  • The bestiary shows only Wriggle; Nasty Bite and Spawned are hidden.
