At the start of your turn 1, every card in your hand is Upgraded for the rest of that combat. It is a combat-only upgrade: the deck copies are untouched. The check is strictly turn 1, so cards drawn later stay as they are. Cards already Upgraded gain nothing unless they have more than one Upgrade level. The hand is shown in a horizontal preview as it flips.

When to take Bellows

Wants a bigger opening hand and cards that Upgrade well, cost reductions, Innate cards and X-cost effects. Much stronger with Bag of Preparation and decks that win by turn 2.
