On turn 1 of every combat, before your draw, it shows 3 different Colorless cards chosen at random from the ones you have unlocked. The one you choose goes into your hand at its normal cost as a card that exists for that combat only; it does not join your deck. The other two disappear.

When to take Toolbox

Buy it when your deck is stable and wants more turn-1 consistency, since the Colorless pool offers a cheap draw, Block or attack most fights.
