X-cost cards and unplayable cards skip the cost increase but still gain the Replay. The base card Exhausts; the upgrade removes that so you can keep handing out Replay.

Take it once the deck holds a card worth playing twice at plus 1 Energy, like a big single hit or a Doom bomb. Poor pick for a thin Act 1 deck on its own.
