How to beat Hunter Killer

  • Tender rewards playing few, heavy cards: the fifth card you play in a turn is already at -4 Strength and -4 Dexterity, so cheap cantrips and 0-cost filler actively cost you damage and Block.
  • Order your plays so the cards that need the numbers come first, since the penalty grows as the turn goes on.
  • Bite is the bigger single hit, but Puncture's three hits are worse into Dexterity loss because each hit tests your reduced Block.
  • It never gains Strength, so a slow plan is fine if your deck is naturally lean.

  • Normal fight in the Hive act, alone, 121 HP (126 at Ascension 8+).
  • Tender's displayed number is the cards played this turn, not a duration; the Strength and Dexterity return at end of turn.
