What it unlocks
Darv, The Hoarder
- It unlocks Darv, The Hoarder, a shared Ancient with no act of its own: the game shuffles it into the acts after the first, where it competes with the local Ancients for the Ancient node.
Darv offers relics from fixed sets that check your deck, among them Snecko Eye, Runic Pyramid, Pandora's Box and Philosopher's Stone, plus a Dusty Tome.- It is chapter 5 of 6 in Tales from the Spire.
How to unlock Darv
Darv is unlocked at the end of a Standard run, won or lost, once you have visited every other Ancient.- Those are Neow in the first act, Pael, Tezcatara and Orobas in the second and Nonupeipe, Tanx and Vakuu in the third.
Each act shows one of them per run, so it takes at least three runs that reach Act 3, and Orobas only appears after Orobas is revealed, a hidden prerequisite.- A visit counts when the run ends and the Darv check comes right after, so the run that completes the set unlocks it.
