Sword of Stone

Sword of Stone

Event
Transforms into a powerful Relic after defeating 5 Elites.
  • Source: The Sunken Statue event in Overgrowth or Underdocks, where the other choice is 101 to 121 gold at the cost of 7 HP.
  • Counter: tracks Elite victories, saved with the run, so it carries across acts. Only Elite rooms count, not bosses.
  • Fifth win: replaced by Sword of Jade, which gives 3 Strength at the start of every combat.
  • Until then it does nothing.

When to take Sword of Stone

Take it in Act 1 if you plan two Elites per act, since five wins brings the Strength online by mid Act 3. If frail, take the gold and 7 HP loss instead.
