How to beat Byrdonis

  • This is a race: every turn it lives adds 1 to every future hit, and Peck triples that gain, so the Peck turns get ugly faster than the Swoop turns.
  • With 81 to 84 HP and no block, three solid turns of damage end it.
  • Per-hit Block and effects that trigger on each hit both punish the three-hit Peck. Weak is strongest against the big Swoop.
  • There is no free turn, so if you cannot race, alternate heavy block on Swoop with cheaper per-hit answers on Peck.

Notes

  • 81 to 84 HP normally, a flat 90 on Ascension 8+.
  • It is an elite in Overgrowth and fights alone.
  • Territorial is a normal counter power, so Strength removal only undoes what it has gained so far; the next end of turn adds 1 again.
  • The Peck hit count is 3 at every ascension.
