How to beat Shrinker Beetle
Kill it first, always: its own hits are small, but every Attack you play is 30 percent weaker until it is dead.
HP: 38 to 40 (40 to 42 at Ascension 8+). Non-attack damage such as poison ignores Shrink, so those decks can ignore the order.
Fuzzy Wurm Crawler: in Overgrowth Crawlers its Inhale gives it 7 Strength, and it is the bigger long-term threat.
Still remove the Beetle first: every later hit on the Crawler is a third stronger.
Notes
- Shrinker Beetle is the weak Overgrowth encounter alone; Overgrowth Crawlers is the normal one with the Crawler.
- Shrink is applied with a negative amount, which the power treats as permanent; it is removed the moment its applier dies.
- The Stomp move is hidden from the compendium.
- Shrink also shrinks your character on screen.
Changes by version
- HP decreased from 40(42)-43(44) to 38(40)-40(42)
- HP decreased from 45(46) to 40(42)-43(44) and Stomp move damage decreased from 14 to 13 (17 to 14 with Ascension)
- Stomp move damage decreased from 16 to 14 (18 to 17 with Ascension)
