It deals 10 damage (12 upgraded), then upgrades 2 random cards from your discard pile (3 upgraded) for the rest of the combat. The code only picks cards that can still be upgraded, so already-upgraded cards and cards with no upgrade are skipped. The deck itself is unchanged after the fight. On a turn with an empty discard pile it upgrades nothing.

When to take Drain Power

A better Act 1 Strike, 10 for 1, that grows stronger the longer the fight goes and the more unupgraded cards you hold. Its value fades once the deck is mostly upgraded.
