How to beat Snapping Jaxfruit
Never alone
- Paired with Flyconid in Overgrowth Flora, or with Slithering Strangler in Strangler and Friend.
Growth: least dangerous on turn one, but hitting for 11 and still growing by turn five, so the question is only when to kill it, not whether.
Kill order
HP: 31 to 33. It dies to two or three attacks, so the usual answer is to take it out first while the partner's damage is still manageable.
Unless the partner is a Strangler stacking Constrict on you, in which case that fight changes the order.
Blocking its early orbs is nearly free, so leaving it for a turn or two is fine, but leaving it for five is not.
Notes
- HP 31 to 33 (34 to 36 at Ascension 8+).
- It belongs to two Overgrowth normal-pool encounters, and Overgrowth Flora carries the Mushroom tag, so it will not be rolled right after another Mushroom fight.
- It never blocks and never debuffs; Strength is its only trick.
