Ranwid the Elder event art, Slay the Spire 2

Ranwid the Elder

You are approached by the oldest person you have ever seen.
“We meet once more... it's me, Ranwid!”

You do not know this man.
“Exquisite...”

Glup glup glup

He downs the Potion in one go.
“Mag.. nificent...”

Ranwid mumbles while chewing the gold.
“Exemplary...”

Ranwid observes the relic studiously for several minutes...

Then eats the Relic.

Which option to take

Give Potion

LoseOne of yoursRelicRandom
  • Give Potion only if the named potion is filler.

Give 100 Gold

Gold−100RelicRandom
  • If it names something you need, pay the 100 Gold.

Give Relic

Our pick
Relic2 random
  • Give Relic whenever the relic named is one you would not miss: two for one is the best rate in the game.

How it plays

  • Three trades, each ending the event. Give Potion: discards one potion chosen at random from your belt (the option names it) and hands you one relic.
  • Give 100 Gold: buys one relic.
  • Give Relic: removes one tradable relic of yours, again picked at random and named, and pays two relics.
  • Every relic comes from the front of the run's relic bag with the usual rarity roll, the same stream elite rewards use.
  • Tradable means not used up, not a one-time pickup relic, not a melted Wax relic, no pet, and not a starter, event or ancient relic.
  • Potions cannot be discarded by hand while the event is open.
