Turn 1

How to beat Axe Raider

  • The Block comes after the hit: it sits on 5 (6) Block during the player turn that follows each Swing, and on nothing after Big Swing.
  • With only 20 to 22 HP it still dies to a couple of attacks through that Block, so do not wait for the open turn unless you are exactly short.
  • Big Swing is the one turn worth blocking in full. The Swings are cheap to tank if you need the tempo elsewhere.
  • In a pack, kill the Assassin Raider or Crossbow Raider first: the Axe Raider's damage is the steadiest but the lowest.

Notes

  • 20 to 22 HP (21 to 23 on Ascension 8+), no starting powers.
  • Only found in the Ruby Raiders encounter in Overgrowth, which fields three different raiders out of five each time.
  • Over a full loop it deals 22 (25) damage and gains 10 (12) Block.
