You claim them one at a time, so with no free slots you must drink or discard something first, or leave the rest behind. The brew happens once, on pickup, so the relic cannot be traded. It is a Shop relic at 200 gold and does nothing afterward.

When to take Cauldron

Buy it when you have empty slots and a hard fight ahead, five potions for 200 gold beats the merchant's per-potion price. Best in Act 2 or later, skip it with a full belt.
