Upon pickup, raise your Max HP by 20. At the start of each combat, draw 2 fewer cards.

Picking it raises Max HP by 20 immediately; the cost is that your turn-1 hand is 3 cards instead of 5, checked only on turn 1. Later turns draw normally. It is a one-time pickup relic, so it cannot be traded away. Your character also grows to 1.5 times size on screen, which is purely visual.

When to take Big Mushroom

From the Hungry for Mushrooms event, take it in act 1 or 2 if your deck does not need a specific opening and you are short on HP. Otherwise take Fragrant Mushroom.
