How to beat Phrog Parasite

Phrog, then four Wrigglers

  • Phrog Parasite: 61 to 64 HP with Infested. When it dies the fight continues and four Wrigglers with 17 to 21 HP each crawl out, stunned for their first turn.
  • The Phrog alternates Infect, 3 Infection cards into your discard pile, and Lash, four hits of 4.
  • Wrigglers alternate Nasty Bite for 6 and Wriggle, 1 more Infection plus 2 Strength. Two bite first and two wriggle first, so each turn after they wake brings two bites and two Infections, with the bites growing by 2 every other turn.

Infection piles up

  • Infection is unplayable, deals 3 at end of turn if in hand, and returns with every shuffle, so the fight worsens the longer it runs.
  • Kill the Phrog deliberately: finish it with a hand that leaves an area attack for the next turn, when the Wrigglers are stunned.
  • Then sweep them. Under 22 HP each, they fold to multi-target damage.
  • Exhaust or discard Infections when you can.

At higher Ascension

  • Ascension 8+: Phrog 66 to 68 HP, Wrigglers 18 to 22.
  • Ascension 9+: Lash 5 per hit and Nasty Bite 7.

Where it appears

Wrigglers also appear unstunned in the Wrigglers event fight. The Phrog's code declares a random branch that is never entered; it always alternates.
