How to beat Living Shield
It only appears next to a Turret Operator, and its real job is the Rampart it starts with: at the start of each of your turns, the Turret Operator gains 25 Block.
Kill the Living Shield first. It has 55 HP (65 at Ascension 8+) and hits for 6 while its partner lives, so it is the safe target, and once it drops the Operator stops getting free Block.
Killing the Operator first is the trap: the Shield immediately begins Smashing for 16 (18) with 3 Strength a turn, which outpaces most early act 3 decks.
Notes
- Found in the Turret Operator fight, a weak encounter in Glory.
- Rampart's 25 Block is unpowered, so nothing on your side reduces it, and it does not fire during extra turns.
- Its amount scales with the player count in multiplayer.
- The ally check counts living enemies other than itself, so any summoned creature would also keep it on Shield Slam.
