How to beat Fogmog
Fogmog and its Eye
Fogmog: 74 HP, starts alone and spends turn 1 on Illusory Spores, summoning an Eye with Teeth: 6 HP, a Minion with Illusion.
When the Eye dies it spends its next turn reviving to full HP and cannot be hit meanwhile. It Distracts every turn, dropping 3 Dazed into your discard pile.
Fogmog Thwacks for 8 and gains 1 Strength, then either Headbutts for 14 or Swipes for 8 with another Strength and then Headbutts, and returns to Thwack.
Ignore the Eye
Fogmog is the only real target: the Eye leaves when it dies, and hitting the Eye only skips one Distract per kill, six damage for 3 fewer Dazed.
Fogmog's Strength climbs about 1 a turn, so Headbutt is 15 or 16 by the second loop.
Block the Headbutt turns and race it down in four or five turns before the Dazed choke your draws.
At higher Ascension
- Ascension 8+: Fogmog has 78 HP.
- Ascension 9+: Thwack and Swipe deal 9 and Headbutt 16. The Eye stays at 6 HP.
Where it appears
Neither Fogmog nor the Eye appears in any other encounter. The Swipe branch and the Headbutt are hidden from the bestiary, and the random pick leans Headbutt at 60% over Swipe at 40%.
