Playing an Ethereal card from your hand removes one stack. Two plays of Veilpiercer bank two free Ethereal cards.

Notes
A stack is spent by any Ethereal card you play, even one that already cost 0, so sequence your hand. Veilpiercer itself is not Ethereal and never eats its own stack. The Necrobinder's Ethereal pool includes Demesne at 3 Energy, the best target, alongside 1-cost cards such as Fear, Defile and Seance. Unspent stacks carry across turns until used.
