Three Defect relics
- It adds three Defect relics.
Gold-Plated Cables (uncommon) fires the rightmost Orb's passive one extra time, so a Frost or Lightning in the back slot works harder.
Emotion Chip (rare) triggers every Orb's passive at the start of your turn if you lost HP last turn, turning chip damage into a full extra pulse.
Power Cell (rare) starts each combat by moving 2 zero-cost cards from your draw pile into your hand, a free opening.- Chapter 1 of 7 in the Defect story, Blight era.
How to unlock Laser Beams
Laser Beams unlocks once The Defect has beaten 15 bosses.- The game keeps a lifetime tally of boss fights won per character in Standard runs, from any act, and checks it the moment a boss dies, so the epoch is granted mid-run on the fifteenth win.
Its slot is revealed by Booting Up, the epoch that unlocks the Defect, which itself needs a finished run as the Necrobinder.
