A curious relic which appears when there's a problem within the Spire or there are no more relics to discover.
Does nothing: it is the game's placeholder relic.- Appears when the pool is empty: it appears when a relic has to be handed out but the relevant pool has run dry, and Touch of Orobas hands it out if your starter relic has no ancient version to upgrade into.
- Multiple copies: stack into one relic with a counter instead of taking separate slots.
Its data: lists it as the starter for the random-character placeholder and prices it at 1 gold.

When to take Circlet
You never choose it, it is what you get when nothing else is left. Seeing one tells you that rarity's relic pool is exhausted, useful information about how many relics you hold.
