Curl Up
Louse Progenitor, a normal Hive fight, starts with 14 stacks (18 at Ascension 8+). It waits for the first powered attack from a card to hit it, blocked or not, remembers that card, and once the card finishes resolving it curls, gains Block equal to the stacks, and removes itself. Every hit of a multi-hit card lands before the Block appears.

Notes
Damage without a card source, such as potions or relic pings, never triggers it. In multiplayer the amount is multiplied by the player count. Because the Block comes after the whole triggering card, lead with your biggest card rather than a cheap poke. Enemy Block clears at the start of the enemy turn, so the curl only protects it for the rest of your turn.
Rules and timing
- It only counts damage from Attack cards and enemy attacks. HP loss and damage dealt by relics, potions and other powers do not count.
- In co-op an enemy receives more of it: the amount rises with the number of players.
