Turn 1

How to beat Bowlbug (Nectar)

  • You get exactly two turns before the Nectar becomes the hardest hitter in the room: either kill it in that window or plan to block 18 (19) every turn.
  • With 35 to 38 HP it dies to two good attacks, and the Rock and Egg are slow enough that spending turns one and two on the Nectar is usually right.
  • If it does get its Buff, Weak takes a quarter off every Thrash, and the fixed base of 3 means Strength removal hurts it badly.
  • Do not bother blocking the turn-one Thrash.

Notes

  • HP: 35 to 38 (36 to 39 on Ascension 8+), no starting powers.
  • A worker in Hive: Bowlbug Swarm draws two different workers from Egg, Silk and Nectar, alongside a Bowlbug (Rock).
  • The weak Bowlbugs fight pairs the Rock with either the Nectar or the Egg.
  • The second Thrash is a separate state in the code that loops on itself, which is why the Buff never repeats.
