What The Architect says
The Architect answers by your wins as that character: the set for that count, and with more wins than sets one of the repeating ones.

So the arch demon’s thrall has arrived?
Enemy...
Kill...

Cursed to fight forever, aren’t you?
Architect... arch... enemy!!

Do you even know your name?

I pity you.
Kill...

Return to the bottom, Ironclad.

Not even an introduction?

Where did you come from?
What are you after?

Hrrgh!
DIE!!

Annoying wretch!
BE GONE!!

What are you doing here?
<random garbled lines>

Repair you? Make me.

You’re back? Didn’t I dismantle you?
<random garbled lines>

Fix you? Fix your friend? Ridiculous.

How do you keep coming back? Is this Neow’s doing?
<random garbled lines>

Foolish
ARCHITECT! You killed my parents. You killed my friend. You killed my LIFE! ...and now I will kill YOU!

Vengeance is it? No thank you.
ARCHITECT! You killed my parents. You killed my friend. You killed my-

You cannot change the past with anger.
ARCHITECT! You killed my parents. You killed my friend. You killed my LIFE-

I did what I must to maintain order.
ARCHITECT! You killed my parents. You killed my friend. You killed my-

Life
What...?! Die, monster!
I’ve arrived! You there, commoner! Is this the top?

I need quiet...
I’ll teach you some manners!
I’ve arrived again!

The loud fool returns?
I’m neither loud nor a fool! Face me!
I’ve had enough of your poor manners!

Something we can both agree on.
Let’s dance!
How the visit works
Not a normal visit
- The Architect is not an ancient you visit on the map.
He is the last scene of a winning run: after the final boss falls the game loads a combat layout with the encounter The Architect, a single Architect creature with 9999 HP and a hidden intent that never acts.
There is no heal and no relic.
The exchange
- A short exchange plays, chosen by your character's number of wins: separate lines for the first, second and third win.
The Silent and Necrobinder have a fourth.- Each line is advanced with a Continue or Respond button.
The finish
On the last line the button becomes Proceed: your character strikes, and the damage numbers over the Architect add up to your final run score split unevenly across the hits.- He answers with lightning every time before the run is recorded as a win.
Worth knowing
Every scene for the Silent opens with her attack, before a word is said. Her scenes for two and three wins are the only ones that skip your closing strike, so the Architect strikes alone. In co-op each player sees their own scene, picked by their own character and wins, and the run ends only once every player has pressed Proceed.
