How to beat Corpse Slugs

Two Corpse Slugs

  • Corpse Slug: two of them, 25 to 27 HP each, with 4 Ravenous apiece.
  • Moves: each cycles Whip Slap, two hits of 3, Glomp for 8, and Goop, 2 Frail, and they start on different moves so the attacks never line up.
  • When one dies the other eats it: it skips its next turn and gains 4 Strength, after which Glomp is 12 and Whip Slap 7 per hit.

Timing the kills

  • Killing both in the same turn is ideal, but with an early deck the practical line is to bring both low together, kill one, then use the stunned turn to finish the second before it swings with the Strength.
  • Do not kill the first slug while the second is near full HP unless you can end it within two turns.
  • Block the Glomp turn, and remember that Goop's Frail cuts your card Block by a quarter for two turns.

At higher Ascension

  • Ascension 8+: each slug has 27 to 29 HP.
  • Ascension 9+: Glomp deals 9 and the meal gives 5 Strength.

Where it appears

The three-slug version is Many Corpse Slugs. The starting moves are rolled once for the pair, so the second slug is always one step ahead.
