How to beat Pael's Legion
How the doubling works
The creature is the visible half of the relic.
Awake: the first card you own that gains Block has that Block doubled, then the relic sleeps for 2 turns and the pet plays its sleep animation.
Sleeping: the cooldown counts down each of your turns; at zero the pet wakes and the next Block card is doubled again.
Playing around it
Pattern: it fires once every third turn, so play your biggest single Block card on the awake turn and cheap Block on the sleeping turns.
Only Block from a card or a move counts, and only cards you own.
Notes
- The pet's look is one of four skins, eyes, horns, spikes or wings, rolled once when you obtain the relic and saved with the run.
- Everything about it resets at the end of combat, so it always starts the next fight awake.
- It is listed among monsters because the game builds it from the same creature model.
From the code
Pael's Legion is an ally summoned by the relic of the same name, not an enemy: it takes no turn of its own, and its 9999 HP is a sentinel value so it cannot die.
